The Story
The game's main storyline begins during the A-Day. Gameplay can be played offline as a single-player experience or online with a multiplayer option. The multiplayer game will allow an online co-op mode for up to four players so players can assemble their own Avengers squad. The game features some customization features like upgrading abilities through a skill tree and changing costumes. The costumes are based on many sources in the Marvel Universe and they can be earned as the story progresses or bought separately as DLC.

Players can switch between the playable characters before the mission begins. During a mission, the other heroes will fight the enemy and perform tasks based on their available skills. Each character feels distinct with their own combat style and role with their own unique close-range and far-range attacks. Target-lock option is also available.
